Dacorum Community Choir
Dacorum Community Choir was formed in November 2009 in a
collaboration between Astley Cooper School, Hertfordshire Music Service and conductor,
Rufus Frowde. It has already built a membership of more than 60 singers. We aim to
give members the opportunity to sing together in a choir, perhaps for the first time,
as well as to explore repertoire that will be less familiar to more-
Unlike many other choirs, we meet during the day, providing an opportunity to be in a choir to those who are unable to join an evening group. Our membership therefore reflects a wide range of the community, from students, young parents, the unemployed to the retired and elderly. Membership is £2 per week but this must never be an obstacle to membership and is waived for those members in financial hardship.
We meet from 9.45 -
Dacorum Community Choir celebrated its 2nd Anniversary on November 3rd.
